Cape Flattery, 09/27/2007

On September 27, 2007, I went to Cape Flattery, the furthest northwest point of the contiguous United States. The Cape Flattery Lighthouse on Tatoosh Island can be seen from the brand new viewing platform at the end of the Trail. It is a small island, but it is impressive nonetheless … especially in light of important Makah tribal history.

If you were also there that day, please contact me. I would love to hear from you! :-)

Seeing Happiness in Others

In the past, I have not generally enjoyed taking photos of people or with people in them, but when you are at a wedding there is not much else to photograph. I took this picture of two happy girls who were taking turns being photographer and model. There was something so sweet and innocent about the moment that I felt compelled to capture it. When I “found” this shot today, it made me smile to the point that tears began to well up inside of me - tears of admiration.
