Fortune-Panties

it was that time of the month.
and i was out of thong liners.
looking for the usual suspects,
my eye was caught by a newcomer.
it wasn’t pink.
it wasn’t green.
it was white and it was called … dittie.
i thought to myself — what the hell? why not try ‘em?
so i took ‘em home and pulled one out … and got a grand surprise.
i love fortune cookies.
perhaps i am too easily amused.
perhaps i find some strange satisfaction in being told something about myself i did not know.
(whether it’s really true or just *should* be true.)
and no perhaps about it — i definitely enjoy being empowered.
anyway, when i bought them i didn’t associate “dittie” with “ditty”.
and i hadn’t read the box to even suspect it.
it’s not often that you try something new and think to yourself, wow!
but that’s what i thought about these.
they’re the only little liners with acumen.
they’re ingenious and they’re cute.
and they truly make “changing” as about as fun as anything could.
“varekai” you go, there you are
such is the gypsy way of life.
and such is the circus way of life.
this was my fourth cirque du soleil show.
each one has its own personality and offerings,
and some of the acts are more interesting and intriguing than the others.
but as a whole … overall … i have yet to be disappointed.
the limping angel who dances on crutches is [almost disturbingly] entrancing.
the icarian foot-juggling games are absolutely amazing feats of timing and strength.
but my absolute favorite …
the atherton twins on the aerial straps as castor and pollux are incredibly mesmerizing,
not to mention enchanting and beautiful.
those guys are spectacular!

¿sabias que … i love tamales?

Happy Cinco de Mayo Day!
(Or at least … thank God it’s Friday.)
It’s pina coladas for me tonight. (Most likely at Los Camperos in Leavenworth.)
¡Salud!
